WPNC hires Guide Dogs Director

Hannah Wallis - Fundraising Strategy Director

WPNC beefs up its charity client strategy offering

Wallis will take up the role of fundraising strategy director with immediate effect and work alongside the wider WPNC team, collaborating with charity clients to design strategies to tackle the challenges they will face in the 2025 to 2030 planning period.

She joins from Guide Dogs, where she held several senior posts during a 10-year tenure, including interim director of fundraising, volunteering transformation lead, head of legacies and single gifts, and legacy and in memoriam product manager.

Prior to Guide Dogs, Wallis worked in various fundraising positions at leading charities, including Oxfam, Breast Cancer Care, Against Breast Cancer and Save The Children.

She said: “Working at the intersection of successful strategy, great insight and impactful creative to make fundraising comms drive donor actions was too good an opportunity to turn down.

“I’m excited to join the team at WPNC to focus on these key connections that drive high-performing creative across the client base. The prospect of working alongside some talented specialists with strong reputations for driving impactful fundraising is really exciting, and I look forward to adding further value to the team.”

WPNC managing director John Eversley added: “Hannah is a great talent and passionate about the sector. Her huge wealth of experience will benefit the agency team and clients alike.

“For example, legacy is an area of great potential for our clients. Legacy income reached Ј4.1bn in 2023/24, and the longer-term outlook is promising as Baby Boomers approach typical legacy-giving age, and house prices continue to rise.

Legacy Futures expects this to provide ‘a secure and solid income stream to support charitable organisations for years to come’. Hannah will greatly bolster the agency offering in this area, as well as for the wider fundraising challenges ahead.”
