Last Thursday we presented our first webinar as part of the Us & Us collective on the topic of Practical DRTV and Social Video.

About Us & Us

The world has changed, and we are all affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Us & Us collective is a group of industry experts - including WPNC - aiming to support the charity sector and keep supporters active.

Fundraising needs to - and can - adapt

The landscape of society has changed enormously in a matter of weeks, but charities can still raise money - from people motivated to give - by using the right content format and media choices.

WPNC has identified that the media climate and patterns in audience behaviour at the moment make DRTV advertising and social video campaigns very useful vehicles for charities seeking to get their message out to existing and new audiences, especially given the removal of mass events and face-to-face fundraising as effective routes to donations.

In summary, we covered:

  1. Changes in the audience and media landscape in top-line detail
  2. The way to put together content and stories for film in these uncertain times
  3. How to practically get video made right now, when logistics are different

Thanks also to our guest speaker - Susan Davidson from Action For Children who covered the new-to-air DRTV appeal we worked on together. The ad is on YouTube here: https://youtu.be/cPXpnuGkpoM
