Battersea wanted to simplify and improve the online giving experience for its supporters with a more engaging donation journey, and offer greater choice using the latest payment technologies. Using our online donation platform, goDonate, gives Battersea a way to deliver campaign-specific donation journeys and deliver a personalised experience for donors and potential donors.

Outstanding results

After the charity decided to switch to goDonate, they ran an A/B test during their crucial pre-Christmas fundraising to establish the effectiveness of the donor experience.

The test pitted the new donation journeys against the charity’s previous platform during a three-week period.

The results were unambiguous:
• goDonate delivered 63% more transactions than the old platform
• goDonate delivered 35% more income
• There was a sharp increase in the number of people starting and completing a donation.

Feature rich solution

The donation platform is built on Umbraco and integrates with the charity’s CRM platform and their Adestra platform for email delivery. Battersea is also taking advantage of goDonate’s flexibility to create campaign specific journeys such as its Sponsor a Kennel campaign or In from the Cold appeal.
