How do you engage people to help bring about JDRFs vision for a world without type 1 diabetes? Answer: make activities simple and engaging, keep the message clear and… make it fun!
Our solution was to drive social media leads with a Facebook challenge, inviting people to do 100 squats a day. As more and more people took part, JDRF took over, actively managing the community to encourage people to register and turn squats into much needed funds for Type 1 diabetes research.
This was definitely a win-win campaign. Challenge participants got fit for a good cause – and, with well over a thousand leads at an attractive cost per lead, JDRF has now has a healthy fundraising pool to target.
